In my opinion, one of the most exciting things in collecting is to find a group of items that all belonged to a single pilot or airman.  the uniform, equipment, medals, pictures, paperwork, wings, patches, and other items all together in one place!  They are fun to research, add depth to a collection and preserves the sacrifice, honor and valor of the individual who once owned the items.  To find a “grouping” is always an exciting thing.  I have provided some images of a few of the important groupings that I have found over the years, including the items that belonged to a B-24 pilot who was shot down and finished the war as a POW in Stalag 3.
